چکیده

We review the status of the flavour-changing neutral-current processes (FCNC). In particular we discuss: i) Main targets of the field, ii) The theoretical framework for FCNC, iii) Standard analysis of the unitarity triangle, iv) ε/ε, v) Radiative, rare and CP-violating decays, vi) CP-asymmetries in B-decays, vii) Comparision of the potentials of K → πνν̄ and CP-B asymmetries, vii) Some aspects of the physics beyond the Standard Model. Plenary Talk given at the 28th International Conference on High Energy Physics, Warsaw, Poland, 25-31 July 1996, to appear in the proceedings. Supported by the German Bundesministerium für Bildung and Forschung under contract 06 TM 743 and DFG Project Li

A Guide to Flavour Changing Neutral Currents in the Littlest Higgs Model with T-parity

Flavour changing neutral current processes, being strongly suppressed in the Standard Model (SM), provide a unique window to new physics at scales much above the electroweak scale. Here, we summarize the recent progress in flavour physics studies of the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity, both in the quark and lepton sector. Particular emphasis is put on various correlations that could distingu...

Implication of the HyperCP boson X 0 ( 214 MeV ) in the flavour changing neutral current processes

We analyze the inclusive b(c) → s(u)μ+μ− and the exclusive B(D+) → K(π+)μ+μ− flavour changing neutral current decays in the light of HyperCP boson X0 of mass 214 MeV recently observed in the hyperon decay Σ+ → p μ+μ−. Using the branching ratio data of the above inclusive and exclusive decays, we obtain constraints on g1 (h1) and g2 (h2), the scalar and pseudo-scalar coupling constants of the b−...

Grand Unified Theories and Lepton - Flavour Violation

Lepton-flavour violating processes, such as µ → eγ, are studied in ordinary (non-SUSY) SU(5) and SUSY SU(5) grand unified theories. First given are some introductory argument on the mechanism of U.V. divergence cancellation in flavour changing neutral current processes and on the decoupling of particles with GUT scale masses. We next see that such general argument is confirmed by an explicit ca...
